Jo Valentine

Jo Valentine revels in the tactile and meditative pleasure of hand stitching with natural fibres.  Trained initially in shamanic and then textile art, she is intrigued by the process of creating meaning invested in sacred objects (reliquaries, talismans, totems, prayer dolls).

Her life-long passion for story and story telling is evident in both her textile art and artist books.  She has exhibited both through the North of England and her hand made books, published with her husband und the Valentine and Valentine imprint, are in private collections around the world.
